Olise – Gallagher – Abraham feature in Chelsea news now

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Chelsea academy graduate Tammy Abraham is ‘in the frame’ for a shock return to the club, according to recent reports.

Since making the move to Italian football in the summer of 2021 – Abraham has gone on to develop himself as the number one striker at Roma and a man that former boss Jose Mourinho can really rely on.

He has banged in over 40 goals in just over 100 appearances and his performances has led to alot of speculation in the media that a move back to the Premier League could be on the cards – with a number of clubs interested.

Now – According to Chelsea reporter Simon Phillips, Abraham, who was described as ‘Didier Drogba-esque’ by Rio Ferdinand during his time at Stamford Bridge, is potentially still in the frame as the club ramp up their search for a striker.

The Blues have the option to buy back Abraham for £68 million this summer and believe that he could be the man that would lead that attack under Enzo Maresca.

The Serie A side are also looking to overhaul their attack during the summer transfer window, having decided they have no desire to keep Romelu Lukaku beyond his current loan from Chelsea.

Among those set to be offloaded, Sky Sport in Italy reports, is Abraham, who has been deemed to fragile to lead the attack after Lukaku leaves

Abraham has proven to be a top-level striker while over in Italian football – but moving back to CHELSEA – trying to make an impact – it will not work.

If he does leave Roma this transfer window – then we are sure that it will not be for a move back to the Blues  -as we just said – he would struggle to lead that attack

CHELSEA BELIEVE IN OLISE SIGNING –

Chelsea believe they will sign Cystal Palace star Michael Olise as he is leaning towards a move to Stamford Bridge.

The transfer window is just a few weeks away and although the Blues are still looking to hire a new manager – there is still alot of transfer speculation surrounding CHELSEA and players that they could sign.

Olise enjoyed a productive season with Crystal Palace despite only playing 19 Premier League games due to an ongoing hamstring injury, as the winger struck 10 goals and provided six assists in the top-flight as Palace finished 10th under Oliver Glasner.

Chelsea attempted to trigger the 22-year-old’s release clause last summer but the player ultimately signed a new deal with Palace, but the Blues are expected to delve back into the transfer window for the Frenchman regardless who the new manager is.

According to respected insider Simon Phillips, Premier League star Michael Olise is leaning toward a transfer to Chelsea over Manchester United, should he leave Crystal Palace this summer.

He stated: “A second source has now added more confidence that Olise will pick Chelsea over Manchester United, following on from my top source saying that last week. We will have to see how that one unfolds in the next days/weeks.”

Olise is a brilliant player that is ready to make that next step in his career – he is ready to play for one of the big Premier League sides and take his game to another level.

CHELSEA could be a good option for the player as they need someone like Olise to come in and help that attack – that struggled to impress at times last season. The only worry is that the new manager doesnt feel like he could suit the new system.

But as we said – he could be a brilliant signing.

GALLAGHER DROPS HINT –

Conor Gallagher says everyone at Chelsea is ‘excited’ to work with Enzo Maresca in the wake of Mauricio Pochettino’s departure.

After a stuttering season at Stamford Bridge – the decision was made from Pochettino and CHELSEA to part ways as he was not the man to lead the club back into the Champions League.

The likes of Kieran McKenna, Thomas Tuchel, Roberto De Zerbi and Julian Nagelsmann had all been linked with the vacant position before Maresca was officially unveiled as the man for the job this week.

The Italian steered Leicester City back into the Premier League after topping the Championship last season – and is coming to the Blues with a big reputation of possession based football.

The future of England international Gallagher has been a major talking point among Chelsea fans in recent weeks, with the club under pressure to balance the books and considering selling the midfielder this summer.

However, Gallagher has distanced himself from speculation of a possible move, insisting he is raring to get started under the new Chelsea manager.

Gallagher told Sky Sports: ‘Really exciting.

‘I’ve heard really good things and I’ve seen really good things.

‘Myself and everyone at Chelsea are really happy and excited to work with him.’

Gallagher is a very gifted midfielder that worked so hard for CHELSEA last season – so it could a wise decision to keep him at the club for at least another season.

However – if he doesnt suit the style of Maresca then we are sure that he could get sold this coming transfer window – as the Italian will want more of a productive midfielder in that position.
